Testing radio frequency for space ships

RF X Space Flight

We came across a fascinating story (shorturl.at/pQW39) out of the UK this week about the importance of Radio Frequency (RF) technology when it comes to tracking and keeping an eye on space ships.

The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland have been testing the satellite radio’s RF frequencies for an upcoming Virgin Galactic space rocket launch.

The research lead, Dr Christopher Lowe made a great point – something we completely resonate with at Vecta Labs – he said:

“Testing (of RF) is a critical element, if you can’t talk to your satellite then the mission is at high risk of failure. So much hinges on good communication with the satellite to ensure that things are going as planned.”

We love Dr Lowe’s sentiment as it reminds us just how important RF testing – both here on earth and intergalactically. If you are interested in learning a little more about Vecta Labs and our methods of testing, RF technology, please get in touch today – contact@vectalabs.com
